Making your own molds

Does anyone make there own specialty molds. I found these instructions, and was wondering if anyone has tried this?

If you make molds some other way can you describe your process?

soap

neat idea! i use most of the standard type molds for c/p. but this would be great for candles, or maybe melt & pour- i think the lye in the soap may react to the ammonia in the latex-

Ha! I just saw your post after I posted one on Smooth-On, which allows you to make your own mold.

I am going to try this...at least once and see what happens. At worst I make a mess. At best I save a mint on molds!

I make a lot of my own silicone molds. It's a lot easier than it sounds.
