adding EO's after lotion is made?

My lotion is all finsihed and I love it, however I did not add enough EO's. I only added 5 drops where I needed 10. Can I still add them and mix them in or is it too late?

Absolutely. I usually scent mine after all is said and done. That way there is no risk of it flashing off

Yes, you can still add EOs -- you'll be plenty fine.

I can't see any reason why the emulsion would "break" or your preservative would be affected. EOs should be added when the lotion is fairly cool anyways to prevent undue evaporation.

My preservative needs to be added when the lotion is below 120 deg F, so I add my EOs at the same time. Makes it easier for me to keep it all straight.

I add eo after my lotion is made and cooled down. Go ahead and add your EOs.

We make 5 gallons of lotion at a time and always fragrance when we are ready to package.
