Also, the seller is new to Etsy, so I wonder if she hasn't figured out how to price her stuff properly. What with Etsy fees and shipping costs, she's basically selling just to recoup material costs or even at a loss.

The only thing that makes sense to me is she's selling products at a low price to get a reputation built up. That's a strategy that will be tough to change if she survives long enough.

It makes me tired just to think about working long hours for nothing. :silent:
 
I agree with DeeAnna- they probably using rock bottom prices as a marketing "strategy." Maybe they are only really advertising to family & friends to get reviews before increasing prices. It doesn't seem like it would be a sustainable business model.
