I have remembered why I hated my scale!
Right before I stopped soaping my scale had died. I replaced with a cheap one. The stupid thing weighs partial ounces with fractions instead of decimal points! Ugh! Need something reliable, but not overly expensive.

This is one of my favorite scales. It measures in ounces, liq ounces, ml, and grams . It is flat so it is easy to use any container you want and it is so easy to clean. It is tempered glass so you don't need to worry about spilling EO on it or beeswax or anything else. It will weigh up to 11 lbs.

This is the scale that I use: http://www.lotioncrafter.com/my-weigh-kd-7000.html

I love it for so many different reasons, but I must say that one of it's best features is that it's Auto Off feature can be deactivated so that the scale stays on- meaning that your scale will never turn off until you turn it off yourself manually (or unplug it). I can't begin to tell you how awesome it is to be able to weigh my ingredients without the fear of my scale turning off in mid-weigh.

I use this scale: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001NE0FU2/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20

I love it, it replaced the last one that was being incredibly inaccurate and kept having lye or oil heavy soaps. I hot process so I just place the ceramic part of the crock pot on it and weigh my oils on there. No more oily measuring cups that I have to wash, just the crock pot and the utensils and once I am done they are covered in soap anyway so super easy to clean, yay! I've had it for awhile and hasn't given up on me.
