Last week I started making Halloween soap. Mostly for friends and family but I got a promotion at work and now instead of working with all guys I work in a department will women who seem more than willing to be my soap “guinea pigs” lol.

Here is my first attempt. I call it my “Monster” Trick or Treat Soap.

I made the little ghosts using mostly coconut oil, cocoa butter, and salt so they would be hard as little rocks. They are!!!

The base was HPed. I started out wanting it to be orange but didn’t have any orange color. So I mixed some red and yellow together (that should have made orange right?) but ended up with a hot pink color that turned light pink when I added into the soap.

Not what I was going for so I added some black oxide. Unfortunately I did this while I was cooking the soap (this was my first time using the HP method) and it turned green on me. I was upset at first but it seemed to work with the soap so I am embracing it.

It is scented with NG’s Trick or Treat.

Here is picture of it once I was happy with where the ghosts would sit.
