I have found a silicone mold that I want that is of a fig but want to know what to use to paint the soap once it's out of the mold. I would like it it look realistic. Any suggestions?

Micas are your best bet for "painting" color and detail onto a soap, as far as I know. Many MPers do much fancier work than I do, though. The trouble with micas is many of them have sparkle in them and that isn't realistic, unless they are magical fairy figs. You might want to put the figgish color into the soap and paint on the details. We'd love to see pics once you're done!

I have heard of soap paints but I don't know if they really exist or where one might find them. Maybe worth some research though.
