i have a scent from Aztec that I dont like for soap but it would be perfect for lip balms. the website says it is skin safe, is it ok to use it? i have written to the company to ask but haven't heard back yet...

Skin safe does NOT mean lip safe. Regular fragrances are not digestable.
I agree: to put anything in lip balm, it would have to be food grade since whether you like it or not, it's a fact that we *eat* our lip balms and lip sticks... (about 5 lbs of it in a lifetime, or so "they" say)
