basic recipe

Hi, I make melt & pour but want to try CP soap.
Can anyone give me a basic recipe not using palm oil or any animal products (must be vegan).
I want to make enough to fill a 2lb mold.
Have looked online but found the recipes a bit confusing.
Any help or advice is welcome.

I would look at Amanda Griffin's blog www.lovinsoap.com or Brambleberry's www.teachsoap.com Both have a variety of beginner recipes, some palm-free.

Any recipe you find, even from reputable sites like these should be run through a lye calculator to check for accuracy. There are many available on line, I use www.soapcalc.net

Click on the link in my signature below and you will find a very basic recipe and complete instructions right on this site. Scroll down the page to the Vegan Recipe just below the first recipe. The vegan recipe deletes lard and is very simple. I used this for my first attempt at any kind of soap and it is step by step fool proof.
