Using Cologne or Perfume as FO?

Every year my Mom buys me a full sized bottle of cologne as a Christmas stocking stuffer. It's always the good stuff.... but I don't use much. So I have 12 full bottles of expensive colognes. Can I use the stuff as soap fragrance? If so, any input you might have would be appreciated.
 
Colognes and perfumes are alcohol based. Don't use them in soap.
 
there are a few reasons not to -
as Deda said, alcohol and soap don't mix (esp not CP - it'll seize)
the stuff is diluted and you may well not get much out of it anyway
they are not designed to withstand the high pH environment of soap - even finished soap - and could morph into something you won't like

but heck, if you are making HP soap, or MP, or rebatching - give it a try if you don't mind if you end up tossing the batch.

(in B&B stuff like lotion, it can muck up your preservative system, I think)
 
I have tried using perfume in soap and it made the soap way too drying - it smelled great but wasn't very nice to use and I ended up chucking it away. :?
