Has anyone added sugar in their salt soap bar to help with increasing lather?
I'm researching and creating a recipe today, cuz I'm trying a mud soap with a bottom layer which is the salt bar. Below is my recipe I've put together for the salt bar portion. I want it to be near white to contrast with the mud color, and not drying. This is why I cut the coconut oil down and added the other oils. I'd also like for it to lather sudsy/bubbling, that's why I'm thinking to add the sugar. Please let me know what you think. Thanks.
Palm Oil 40%
Coconut oil 40%
Olive oil 5%
Castor oil 15%
Dead Sea Salt xxx (Sorry, meant 20%, not 2%)
White sugar ????????
Water & lye
