Hi everyone,
I am trying to make a whipped body butter from a recipe that I found online. It uses cocoa butter, almond oil, coconut oil, and vanilla. Can I use vanilla extract (like when making cookies) or should it be vanilla essential oil? Thanks in advance.
Also, does anyone have any recommendations on how to make the oil a little less greasy. I haven't made it yet, but it seems like it won't absorb too quickly.
Thanks!

You would be better off using vanilla absolute or vanilla fragrance oil. You can add in a tsp or so of corn starch/arrow root powder to help with greasiness. Body butter are greasy by definition though, they are nothing but oils. It takes a bit for them to soak in but once they do, its really nice.

Thank you for the input. I will look for some vanilla absolute.
