Can you use soap colorants for candles?

I have had varied luck using micas dispersed in melted stearic acid. Most times you need more than it is worth. Other times it works at first then just sinks as soon as the wax melts. Trust me it is worth buying the candle dye if you are interested in colored candles. I only make wax tarts for myself and don't need them to be colored.

I wouldn't think so unless they specifically say for candle use. Most liquid colorants are suspended in glycerin which is water soluble and will not mix with wax. You could try but I wouldn't get your hopes up. Sorry. you could probably do a slow warm wax infusion in a crockpot. I don't know what herbs would produce color but I am sure something would.
