My last two batches (usual recipe) are really oily. One got to hot and I thought that was the problem. I did the same recipe same eo's put it in the freezer then the fridge. Then on the rack. It looks as though it may have gelled anyway. It has now extra oils on it too.

Anyone know what might be going on? I have never had this before.

I've had the same problem recently with my last two batches of GM soap. Same recipe, same technique.

I have found though that after about 6 weeks they seem to absorb all the oil. I tried one in the shower before that - not good, was a bit mushy. But is fine after a long cure.

Maybe a heat thing? maybe superfat? maybe some mysterious, unknown variable?

The eo's is a combination that I wse all of the time. Patchouli, spearmint and cedar.
It is not the eo's. I did a zap test to see if it was zappy. It wasn't all It tasted like was oil.
