All,

Made this yesterday and cut it just now.

1st question-what are the spots in the pic while it is in the mould?
2nd-I forgot to superfat!! Is this really bad?

Other pics are just for you to comment.

Did you run it through soapcalc.net, if so, the default SF is 5%. The spots could be colorant that wasn't fully incorporated. But overall it looks good!!

Hi,

Yes I did. Does that mean that it is ok? I did not add any oil during mid trace.

Thanks,
Porumi

You don't have to add SF oil at trace, you can incorporate the extra % of oil from the beginning. Easier that way.

If you used the 5% default from soapcalc, you should be fine.

The surface bubbles/discoloration on the top of your soap is either a bit of soda ash (harmless) or possibly slight overheating.

Very nice looking soap!

Pretty! What do you use to color the top?

Thanks all.

Hopefully they will turn out ok.

No pigments here, just used cocoa powder. Smells like dark chocolate. Wish the white bits were whiter so will add TO next time.

Thanks,
Porumi
