Default Simple castile question.

Is 100% olive oil soap still considered castile if you add color? Thanks.

Default Re: Simple castile question.

Simple question, simple answer:

Castille soap is made of 100 % olive-oil.
If you ad 1% colour, it is no longer 100% olive-oil, and will therefore become a bastillesoap.

That's what they say in Spain, where Castille-soap was "invented".
Castillesoap is originally an Alepposoap, made without laureloil.
