My wife and I are new to soap and scrub making and we are looking for a good salt scrub recipe. We have tried the coconut oil, salt and essential oil but we are not happy with the product.

Many commercially available salt scrubs list the following ingredients:

Sea Salt, Cottonseed Oil, Sunflower Seed Oil, Shea Butter, Cetearyl & Ceteareth 20, Stearic Acid, Fragrance, Beeswax, Grapefruit seed extract , vitamin E

Can anyone offer a recipe more along the lines of the commercially available scrubs?

You need an emulsifier. Check out www.swiftcraftymonkey.com. She has a bunch of information on formulating anything you can imagine. Also, if you scroll to the bottom you will find other threads related to your question.

Hello and welcome to the forum.

Also, you may want to introduce yourself on the introduction forum as well as read some of the stickies.

Also, check out www.naturesgardencandles.com or www.wholesalesuppliesplus.com They have recipes they have shared.
