I am reformulating my clay masks and I'm having trouble deciding on an emulsifying wax. I have both water and oil in my recipes. Does anyone have any suggestions for what type of emulsifying wax would be best? Does it matter which preservative I use? I'm using optiphen, if it's important.

I ended up going with soft and silky emulsifying wax from wsp and btms conditioning wax from bb so we'll see how it goes. I'll update. If anyone has any tips for using these waxes in a product like this, let me know. I use the soft and silly in my sugar scrub but have never used the btms.

Also, I decided to go with Germaben II because of the extracts and hydrosols.
