Hello all,

I know Citronella and eucalyptus are used for insects repellents....

has anyone tried a CP process with these two oils to make a mosquito repellent soap....

thanx

I am no expert, but I do not think it would work as a repellent since it is a wash off product.

Digit

Yeah - I agree with Digit - it's a wash off product and wouldn't be effective. I wouldn't take the chance that people would think it's a good way to protect their skin from bugs with West Nile virus running rampant.

On the bottom of the page they have a *Bug off* EO. It is one of the cheapest I found. I've been using it in lotions and soaps (A lotion/soap combo set) and I have been getting AWESOME reviews!

Yeah... I think you would have to put it in a leave in product for it to be fully effective.

I think itd be best to make your own spray with rosemary, citronella and eucalyptus / tee tree oil :)
