Is melt and pour soap a glycerine soap? If it does, do you have a recipe on how to make glycerine soap?

Thanks for your reply....

I tried it and it works.. Sweats alot but we had a lot of rain here in CT the last week or so...

Cost is higher than buying it but there are no detergents..

Thanks for the link, I tried this recipe today. It was very easy, it is now in the mold. Hope it hardens up, so I can try it out.

Please let us know the results, I wanted to try it too.

It hardened and I cut it into bars. My soap is kind of translucent instead of transparent, but that doesn't bother me, if it melts like the commercial melt & pour.

Did you figure out the cost per lb to make it?

I got seven 6 oz bars out of the batch. The batch total was $13.84. Not cheap. I wouldn't be making much money if I was selling the soap.

Thanks for the link!!! I am starting to try this one out here, still looking for the ingredients. Post it later if it will work..

Thanks...
