I've been living and working in the states while attending university for the past four years, and thus using brambleberry for all my soaping needs without issues.

Thing is shipping from BB to my home town is crazy expensive, like 105 american dollars for 40 pounds of oil expensive, just shipping.

I've been digging around for canadian suppliers and it seems like most of the prices are just...bonkers. Of the four Canadian based websites ive found they all have prices like 15+ dollars for for a measly 16oz of avocado oil.

I know i'll be able to find cheap olive, soy, tallow and canola oil around town...but i love using my luxury oils. Even fragrance oils seem to be crazy expensive from the few places i've checked T.T

I'm new to soap making but I've done a LOT of comparison shopping recently. The two it came down to based on price and selection (I like to minimize shipping by getting everything I need in one order whenever possible) are http://www.saffireblue.ca and http://www.newdirectionsaromatics.ca

Unfortunately my experience with Saffire is less than stellar. (if you're interested in details: http://www.soapmakingforum.com/showthread.php?p=445331) basically my huge issue with them is that they do not include any expiry dates on their products. I should be receiving my first order from NDA tomorrow.

NDA has good prices but there is a 100 minimum order (or a $20 charge) and some of the items come in larger quantities.

Sadly there seems to be no BB-like substitute for us :(

Oo thanks so much for that link. I've seen saffireblue before, but never newdirrections, their prices seem much more what im looking for.

One of my dreams is to have a little side soaping business at some point in my life(even just enough to cover the cost and feed my addiction), so maybe the minimum $100 order isn't a huge deal, lol.

There are 2 that are my favourites - New Directions and Voyageur. I don't use Saffire Blue for the reasons stated.
