Sorry if this has been asked before, but I couldn't find the post in a search.. But do you prefer to let the lye determine the superfat oils / oil (mystery as to what oils/oil is left?)
or do you choose what oil you prefer and add it after the cook?

Still a newbie trying to prefect the method!

I do a little of both. I will calculate a SF with the soap calc, say 5%. Then I calculate on my own what 2% of my batch of oils would be and add that after the cook if I am wanting a specific oil/butter as my superfat.

I am thinking I may do that with cocoa butter or Shea butter after the cook. Just a little, still trying to figure out my final recipe
