Hi,
I'm planning to make a grapefruit melt and pour soap. Will I need to use anything to help keep the fragrance of the essential oil to avoid it from losing its smell overtime, as I have discovered some citrus essential oils run if there is no binder. Is this also the case with grapefruit and if so what would you recommend?

Thanks for you time!

Essential Oils stick better in mp soap than cp soap, especially if you add it when the melted base has completely cooled down, right before you pour.
If you're looking to bind it by using other EO's, litsea cubeba is a good binder and goes well with other citrus-like eo's.
If you're wanting to use other additives, you can mix the eo with a little vegetable glycerin or castor oil. Or clay works as a good binder, too.
