Hello!
For those of you who weigh oils and such using grams, what is the rule of thumb for essential oils? Do you also weigh essential oils in grams?

I weigh everything in grams, actually.

when we talk about 0.7 ounces per pound of oils, it translates to about 20 grams or 4.5% of the weight of oils.

1 ounce per pound of oils is about 6.25% and so half an ounce per pound oils would be a little over 3%

Percents and grams are the way to go.

cheat sheet (ABOUT!! ESTIMATES!!!)

0.5 oz EO ppo ~ 3.1% ~ 14 grams per pound soaping oils = 31 grams per kilo
0.7 oz ppo ~ 4.5% ~ 20 grams per pound soaping oils = 45 grams per kilo
1 oz ppo ~ 6.25% = 28.4 grams per pound sopaing oils = 62.5 grams per kilo
