Homemade Melt & Pour uses ingredients such as propylene glycol, sugar and/glycerine to make the soap clear and meltable. These ingredients are added after the cook. Homemade hot process soap is usually just uses oils, fats and nut butters, and liquid/lye solution mixed to trace and then cooked through the saponification stage. Cold process soap is a recipe of oils, fats and nut butters combined with lye/liquid solution and mixed to trace and then poured into a mold. It is not cooked.
