All along I've been using regular alcohol for layers on M&P. Today I switched to 91% and my layered log has fallen apart when I sliced it. Is it the 91% alcohol that caused it?

I'm not sure about that? Is it possible you pour the second layer after the alcohol has evaporated? Maybe you should stick to the regular alcohol instead.

91% is all I use & haven't had a problem yet. The only reason that I use 91% is I have a lot of it from my vinyl cutting business.
Maybe it evaporated before you poured???

Well as your getting ready to pour your second or whatever layer, you spritz the top with alcohol and right then pour the layer. If you spray the base and then start melting the second base etc.... by the time its melted the alcohol has evaporated and the second layer will not stick? Does that make sense?
