Hi.
To get soap be usda certifed organic, do I have to use all usda certifed ingredients?
If so, where do I get usda certified organic ingredients (on line and offline)
?
Certification is for the whole production?
Approximately, how much does the certification cost?
Thank you.

I've never seen organic soap, only soap made with organic oils.

I think you'll have a very difficult time finding organic lye :D

Soaps actually fall under being a cosmetic commodity not agricultural. USDA handles things of an argo nature like animals and raw plant material like wheat and such. You'd have to contact FDA (Food & Drug Administration) to find out how you would get your soaps and other cosmetic products certified as organic or au natural. Hope that helps.

After reading up about USDA Certified Organic seal, I take that back what I said earlier regarding USDA. You'll want to contact an accrediting agent (link provided below) in your state find out exactly more about USDA NOP & how you'd go about getting your bath and body products credited. All the ingredients have to organically certified otherwise OCA will call you out on it, which I don't blame them for doing.
