I didn't know that raw turmeric is a good addition in soap... I will definitely give it a try, I have abundance of it as we own turmeric fields ☺️

I'm going to get very intimate with my soap and a veggie peeler when I get up.

That sounds wrong. I made a second batch of soap. It went as beautifully as I could have hoped especially since it's the largest batch I've ever made. I put it in a cold oven then a half hour later decided to use the "heat and hold" setting (170F) to make sure everything gelled. It seemed like a super brilliant idea. I caught it before it actually turned to alien brains. It has pustules (but not oozing ones). The tops read 180-182 when I took it out. I've got fingers crossed that it won't ooze while my back is turned. I have no idea if I'll have a chance to make a third batch and I tossed the last of my additive (cherry wine, all that sugar for CPOP) and I used the last of my shea and I'm out of bath bombs. Grumblegrumblegrumble

Has the deadline been changed? When will I get messaged the address to send the soaps to? I don't know who was looking for some soaps to sit on a shelf for 4-6 weeks because they've got 18 to try, but I'm expecting laurel berry oil to come in any day now. If you want soap that needs time to cure, I can make LBO and olive oil as my second addition and you can wait a year for it.

The deadline was never a requirement but a request. That way people would have a soap they could use right away! Please make your Laurel Berry soap whenever you have time!

I *might* have a couple of boxes of soap just hanging around here.
Getting fresh soap with a "made on" date is absolutely no problem for me.
We always have soap around here!

Please do forgive my rather rustic soaps and second item when the shipping comes.

It must have been Karma. I wasn't really expecting the LBO until next week. It was waiting for me when I got home. I'll make my soap this weekend. Yay!!! If you don't know what LBO smells like, it is very earthy. It reminds me of wet cigarettes. However, it's not a bad smell; just an earthy smell. I like it. It gets better as it cures.

How cool it that? Do you have a picture of them?

So, when do we get the address?
I have my second item all labelled, but I am still allowing my soap to cure until the day before I mail it.

I just need to get some bags to fit the two items into, or something, and I need to make labels for the soap, and bag them up. But I want to wait until the last minute if possible.

How is everyone packaging their stuff? I thought I might get some of those treat bags from Hobby Lobby.

Y'all are going to have to forgive my rustic soaps, also, as they were made before I got micas.
