I spent the last few hours trying to access the card and to no avail. If I was able to root this phone, I would have had one more option. Alas, I'm going to find the windows phone I originally bought for a second cell number and that will be my phone since at least I could trust a Lumia NOT TO DESTROY MY CRAP!!!
I wonder if my mother's phone would have done that or any other non samsung phone. I didn't even make it to save my newer photos. I should sell this phone and use the money to pay it off. I'm too through with this now.
