i wanted to know about strawberry powder and other fruit powders like those found at thesoapdish.com. do any of you use them in your CP soap or scrubs? if you do is it for color, fruit properties, etc?

i am always worried about rancidity with certain food materials (especially citrus type foods) in my CP soap, do you also use a preservative when using these powders?

I have never seen/used fruit powders, but I have use actual avocado and pumpkin in my soaps. You just need to make sure that the food is pureed so there are no large pieces to form mold or go rancid. The sap takes care of the rest. I used 1 tbs ppo in my avocado, I believe. I have also used pureed pumpkin from the can as my entire liquid.

The powders should be fine.

I have read reviews on the powders , people seem to love them .Banana is very popular. I use baby food carrots in soap and it is fine .
