I plugged a recipe into soapcalc and then plugged the same recipe into brambleberry's soap app and they gave me different lye and water numbers. Which one should I trust?

recipe:
12 oz coconut oil
1.6 oz castor oil
1.6 oz shea butter
0.8 oz olive oil

20% superfatting

soapcalc gives me 6.08 oz of water and 2.173 oz of lye.

brambleberry gives me 5.28 oz of water and 2.21 oz of lye.

I'm using tomato puree for the water and pink salt at 100% of oils.

thanks for any help! those numbers are very different!

All soap calculators will give different numbers so it's best just to pick one to use so your batches will be the same. As for the example above since you are superfatting at 20% I would go with soap calc.
