Hindenburg disaster reference? I think the remark was originally attributed to Herb Morrison's report of the Hindenburg disaster. It was also used as a Barry Fitzgerald line in The Quiet Man when he saw the broken bed the next morning after the wedding, which, given the context, I always thought was a genius piece of writing.

I think I misremembered the Quiet Man line. Must have been somewhere else I saw or read it. Now it is driving me crazy trying to remember where I saw it.

But your Hindenburg reference is quite apropos.
