Vitamin E in sugar scrub

When adding vitamin E to a sugar scrub, is it .5-1% per pound of oil or per pound of product? Not sure if I should be weighing the sugar here or not! Thanks so much!

Well both maybe, i make my scrubs without the sugar in the formula. but just base it on oil total. Not necessarily per lb of oil. If that makes sense.

If I use it I use 1% of all ingredients except the sugar.

This is what I, do as well. I don't see how adding any more would really help because you're trying to postpone rancidity of the oils, not the sugar.

Thanks guys! I figured it was probably supposed to be based on oil weight, but just wanted some confirmation. The stuff is so blasted expensive, I certainly don't want to be using any more than I have to!
