I was reading a recipe for these using shredded CP, oil/fat & sugar that is broken into parts. For the oil/fat part would fractionated coconut oil be acceptable? I don't like a greasy feeling and have some on hand, but wasn't sure if it would work in these.

So Ellacho, is the purpose of the soap in the sugar scrubs to cut the greasiness? Or is that just an added benefit? In other words, why is it included?

Hi Ruthie,
Yes, it cuts the grease(both skin & bath tub!) and it also cleans skin. Sugar exfoliates, soap cleans and oil moisturizes your skin :).

I also make salt scrub in the same way.
