mango butter

Is Shea butter better for the skin than mango? I like organic shea in my body butters but don't like the scent. I was thinking of switching shea to mango if there isn't must difference. TIA

I'm guessing you're using unrefined Shea butter? I don't like the smell or the look either. I now get naturally refined Shea butter from Brambleberry that I really love because it's white, doesn't stink, and works wonderfully in soaps and lotion bars- but it's not organic. I have used mango butter in lotion bars as well. It was nice too; I just preferred Shea butter.

Well there is this info., but I don't know that mango can protect skin from sunburn as stated in the article.

I get raw ivory shea from here and it has a nice earthy smell. I don't care for raw shea from other places, it smells like neem to me.

Yes, its a nice coco butter. Very rich smelling, makes wonderful body butter.
