In all my soaping google searches, I have come across many different shapes and sizes of soaps. Pies, cupcakes, brownies, etc.

My question is...
Do people really buy these fancy soaps to actually use? Or just to look pretty? To me...using a soap that looked like a cupcake with icing...would be rather hard!!! Don't get my wrong...there are some very talented soapers out there. I just wonder how to use them :)

When i've approached my friends to be testers I asked them too what they would like to actually use and test for me.

All of them said they would not be inclined to use heavily done up
soaps because they seem more novelty and too pretty to use.

A few of them said that if the "cupcake" were simple enough they
would try to use them but it's too awkward a shape for good
showering.

Most of my peoples have liked ovals and rectangles of good
soap.
