Here is the email I got form BCN . I asked about any reported problems with grit or crystals forming in soap when using the vanilla stabilizer.
Regarding grit in cold process soap made with the vanilla stabilizer . The only way I can see this happening is if the vanillin in the fragrance itself begins to crystalize...that can happen with anything that contains it. I personally have not had that happen and have used it in over 40 scents. I would also think that it may be caused by improper blending? I have had only one person contact me saying this happened and it only happened in one batch. Vanillin btw is a crystal to start. Often you will see this in fragrances if they get too cold. The crystals start to reform. Hope this helps!
Thanks,
