I am waiting on an order of my usual pomace olive oil I use but it is not scheduled to arrive till the 17th and I am out of stock of some soaps and would like to be making batches right now ~ just wondering if you think it would change the final bars much if I just went to the store and bought regular olive oil??
 
Not really that much difference,excepting price of course! I don't even find that much colour difference between pomace,regular or EVOO in the finished product. Pomace traces a little faster is all... :wink:
 
with regular OO - if anything they soap might be a tad whiter.
but depending on how much OO is in your formula it might take considerably longer to trace than with the pomace (there has been some discussion of this, and apparently while pomace from Columbus Foods traces faster, the pomace from other sources may not)
