Hi all,

So thinking of my next batch and playing around with Soapcal and wondered...

A. Do you take notice of soap quality figures?
B. If A is a yes, what combination do you like best?

Thanks

Thanks,
Porumi

I do look at the Soapcalc numbers when I develop a new recipe, but don't have a specific set of numbers that I aim for, Porumi. Most of the time I (sort of) stay within the recommended ranges for each fatty acid / soap characteristic. But sometimes I just trust my instincts or experience, and try a recipe that Soapcalc indicates could be too soft or too cleansing, etc by making a small test batch.

I do, because I have not put the research into acid values that I need to. I personally keep my cleansing values between 11-14 for my skin, and cant seem to get a higher then 18 for bubbles, but my creamy is in the 30-40 range and conditioning is also 30-40, which I would love to boost.
