Dahlia, did you mean this article? http://swiftcraftymonkey.blogspot.ca/2014/10/question-why-dont-we-use-coconut-oil-in.html
It looks like her only qualm with coconut oil is that it will melt. So, unless you're trying to achieve something whipped or whatever else she was talking about, then I don't see how it would be a problem. However, I am no expert on this issue. :) It was just an observation.

Luckyone80, the recipes look fine. Although, I wouldn't use coconut oil in a sugar scrub that I use on my face because for some it will clog pores. You may be fine with it though.

Anyone have any web sites they recommend for good sugar scrub recipes?

This is the locally world famous Mayren's recipe that I plan to use for sugar scrub cubes: http://mayren.blogspot.com/2010/10/mayrens-12345-sugar-scrub-cube-recipe.html it seems a nice way to use up some soap scraps too.

If I were making the goopy kind that you scoop, I would just mix some oils that I like (probably coconut and sweet almond) and mix in sugar till it looks right.
