Hi,

I made some lanolin soap, and wanted to know some feedback on it.. It did come out a little softer than I wanted... :(

this is what I used, as put in from soap calc:

170 grams Soybean Oil (hydrogenated)
141 grams olive oil
113 grams coconut oil
56.6 grams Lanolin
64 grams lye
183 grams of water

superfatted 5%

It came out looking nice, kind of yellowish.

Thanks!

Hydrogenated soybean is a soft oil. You have a lot of lanolin in there too. Not all of the lanolin will saponify, so I could see how between the two of them your bars are soft. I would add some butter or maybe some beeswax and reformulate it. Or use less lanolin and more olive oil.
