Fatty Acid Profile

It depends on what you are looking for from your soap. Also, the fatty acid profile is not the be-all and end-all, not by a long way. Palm and lard have a similar profile but are worlds apart in practice, much more than the numbers would suggest.

A blogger did a survey a while back of fatty acids folks were using in their bars. It's kinda interesting... though it should be taken with a grain of salt like all internet surveys.

It was an interesting article. I actually had read it, a while ago, before I had been soaping for long enough for it to make much sense to me. It really is more rewarding now. Interesting to know how much people agree and differ sometimes. Thanks for posting it, snappy.
