Hello Everyone. I am a newbie to soap making with a few batches of CP under my belt and am watching my first batch of HP cook as I type. My family raises heritage pigs so I am focusing on lard based soaps, Any tips or info would be greatly appreciated! Excited to join a soaping online community :)

Thanks
AJack

Hey and welcome!

My best advise would be to read the first 5 pages of the Beginner and Lye Based Soap Forums. Those are loaded with good info!

BTW, I am SO jealous of the availability of great lard! I LOVE lard in soap!

Hello and welcome! There is a LOT of good info to read here so make yourself comfortable and dig in.

Cool about your family raising heritage pigs. Definitely a nice source of lard we can all envy!

Pure lard bars are some of the best single oil bars in my opinion! Although I'm addicted to big fluffy bubbles so I always add in a little coconut to mine.

Hello and welcome! I was really happy with the results of the first soap I made with lard. :)
