OK I can't find bisodiumcarbonate ANYWHERE! What the heck is it, and where do you buy it? The betaine or liquid surfactants seem hard to find too. Your piccies are gorgeous and I think I like the look of these bubble bars better than the recipe I have, but you have some wacky stuff in this recipe and I don't know where to find it. I'm sure it will be worth the wait, once I find a source.

Health food stores or places like Bulk Barn that sell stuff in large quantities have it much cheaper than buying the actual product in a box. I think I paid 0.17$ per 100G.

If you don't want to use SLS you can use SLSA (Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate), Brambleberry sells it. Their description is "A great alternative to Sodium Lauryl Sulfate. This product is derived from coconut and palm oils, and conforms to Ecocert's natural and organic cosmetic standard and is 100% of natural origin." I have used it and found that it doesn't foam as much as SLS, but alot of my customers don't want SLS and this is an alternative.

Thank you! I am so happy to find another alternative. I found this little article that I thought was a good read since I am new to all this and the goal of making my own soap was to exclude harsh chemicals. http://slibeauty.wordpress.com/2010...lauryl-sulfate-or-sodium-lauryl-sulfoacetate/
