Hi Greetings from the UK!

On my 7th attempt at making bath bombs and each time I think I have mastered them until they begin to crack after several hours.

My current dry ingredients are Citric Acid, Baking Soda, Corn Starch & Epsom Salts.

My wet ingredients are essential oil, coconut oil and food coloring.

I have tweaked the recipe and process each time but still at the end they are cracking.

PLEASE HELP

NIKKI:confused:

Hello and welcome!!!

If you post your exact recipe we can try to help you troubleshoot.

I'm by no means an expert at bath bombs. However, I've found that if they are too wet they have a tendency to dry and crack. If they aren't wet enough they won't hold together. I don't use coconut or corn starch. I use either shea or cocoa butter and powdered colorants. I don't use food coloring either as I sell and it's not labeled for skin safe usage. That may be part of the problem as well adding to them being too wet depending on how much you use.
