    Using clay

    How does every one use clay as an additive? I have heard some rehydrate it before use, some add it to the lye and strain it out, or do you just blend it up and put it in? Using white kaolin in shave soap.

    Shave soap. Superfat and Liquid Soap.

    After many hours of research and many thanks to the wisdom of the folks on this board, i think i have a great starting recipe for shave soap. My question is about the superfat. How much? I normally use about 8%, is that sufficient or should i up that and to what? Many thanks in advance.
