    Daystar Order

No they haven't communicated at all. Even though they sent me a receipt and an emailed thank you note, they never drew out any money. I hate that they weren't able to stay in business. I know she made at least one attempt to start up again. I had to stop myself from speculating and just move on...

    Daystar Order

Thanks dibbles...I think I love Jasmine...I'm not sure anymore! Over the years I've had several...they always either fade or morph or just smell awful. I've been wanting to try Grim Reaper for a long time. And since I was there... the perfect opportunity!

    Daystar Order

Thank you cmzaha! I appreciate the recommendation. I haven't made the blend yet so I'm still collecting the best ocean scents that I can find. I made a blend because I couldn't find a single perfect scent. They always seem to be missing something. I miss the smell of the ocean...well in my case...

    Daystar Order

Thank you dibbles! I ordered Ocean from Keystone and I agree it's pretty close to my nose. I had planned on adding it to a blend so I'm hoping it will be just what I'm looking for! I did order Ocean & 8th from Nuture and while I was there, I finally ordered Grim Reaper...I've wanted to give it a...

    Daystar Order

Thank you dibbles! the description is "This is a nice strong salty scent with hints of fresh air and sea grass" sounds like it might be very close...including the bad behavior!

    Daystar Order

Thank you cerelife. I have ordered both 8th and Ocean and Peak's Ocean to add to my beach FOs. I've waited so long to try to find a good replacement for Salty Sailor because I thought it would probably be difficult. I keep hoping that if I have every beach scent there is...I might blend a...

    Daystar Order

Thank you Ochre+Co. I'm so glad to hear that! I'm so tempted to try it but in something other than soap.

    Daystar Order

Thank you! I didn't think anyone made one that was well behaved!

    Daystar Order

Thank you Carly! Did you like the way Beach Walk smells? I saw it was a beast to work with. Seems like all beach scents are.

    Daystar Order

Thanks, I appreciate your checking her out. Looks like she hasn't posted on her FB page since 2015. I have called the cell she listed and left a message, today her phone said her message box was full. I had texted her at that number as well but so far no response. Oh well, I think I'm going to...

    Daystar Order

I guess I was wrong about Daystar being open again. When I placed my order I received a emailed receipt and thank you so I was hoping. But, that was two days ago and they never took my payment...and I can't reach them. So I give up! Does anyone have a recommendation for a good replacement for...

    Daystar Order

Hi everyone...I was able to order from Daystar today and I was wondering if anyone else had recently placed an order. Stacy seems to be open for business and her site worked well. I used to make a Beach blend that contains some of her Salty Sailor and Paradise so I gave it a try. I've been...

    Coconut that sticks in CP

My favorite is Da Lime in Da Coconut from Rustic. It's really nice. Even though the name includes lime, if you want lime you're going to have to add it because it's barely there. But the coconut is strong, blends well and sticks. It will slightly discolor to a light beige.

    gelling milk soaps

Thank you so much! That's exactly what I wanted to know! I’ve been fighting a losing battle with partial gel forever and never realized that what I was doing could never solve the problem...no matter how fast I got in the freezer :)... I was thinking about it all wrong! I get it now! I can...

    gelling milk soaps

Hi lucycat...I know this is an old post, I hope you don't mind my question. I have always made milk soap and I have never gelled it. I get my soap into the freezer within about 2 to 5 minutes after I get into the mold. I leave it in the freezer for 2 hours and then put it into the refrigerator...

    Wow It worked!

I know! I would have given up on this one if I could have! Why is it that the most difficult fragrances are always the ones everyone wants? Good Luck! Let us know how it works for you! 💖 Zany...that sounds great! I've never added fragrance to the oils before the lye solution because I'm afraid...

    Wow It worked!

Hi TennisGirl I don't think that this method helps with the acceleration, just the ricing. I was just excited to get a smooth creamy pour. Your fragrance might allow you more time. The method calls for using oils from the batch that are liquid at room temperature so no melting needed. I used...

    Wow It worked!

Hi MLSB... The method is you heat the oils in the microwave remove them from the microwave and then add the room temperature fragrance. The last time I tried BB's method my oil and fragrance had cooled to about 90 degrees and I decided it could be heated together for a 5 second burst which...

    Wow It worked!

Hi KiwiMoose...I heated the oil to 100 degrees in my microwave it took exactly 15 seconds. Then I stirred in the room temperature fragrance. If it cools very much before you're ready to use it give it a quick maybe 5 second boost back to 100. Then when you're ready pour smoothly with one hand...
