This is amazing. I've recently gotten into making liquid soap, so I have tons of KOH on hand (dual lye liquid soap maker here!). I'm super excited to try dual lye bar soaps!!!!

I think I'll most definitely use lavender. I also saw a lot of people like peppermint... Would it be weird if I do lavender, peppermint, tea tree? Maybe it's too much...

Thank you all for your thoughts. I'm glad I asked! Looks like I will have to think about this a bit more. I definitely don't want any bowing. I experienced it with the milk carton mold I just used (reinforced with duct tape and then had to get creative with zip ties to stop the bowing...). Or...

Now that I have one batch under my belt... :P ... I would like to purchase a silicone loaf mold. Does anyone have a comparison of loaves already cut showing the difference between the Crafters Choice 1501 and the BB 10" loaf mold? Or even one of those vs. a tall and skinny mold? Thank you...

I'm back to share the results of my first soap! Thank you so much for all your help with the recipe! The swirl is funky...but I'm pretty happy! and it smells amazing! I hope the scent sticks. :) Now... must wait 4-6 weeks... THANKS AGAIN!!
