It is great stuff. I've been happy with everything I've ordered from them.

    Black-eyed Peas

Cooked my black eyed peas this morning so my sister could have a bowl for lunch.

    3d Printer!!

The black is probably my favorite filament: Vertigo Galaxy from FilamentOne. It's pricey, but so pretty. The blue is High Five blue from Proto Pasta, and the gold is Bronzefill from Amolen. The clear is from 3D Solutech.(All PLA). You can order all but the Galaxy from Amazon; that you have to...

    3d Printer!!

Yeah, it's going to be a plastic Christmas here, too. Teenage great-niece and nephews are getting their gift cards in twisty boxes (gold one is open in the picture). Niece wants a lithophane of these kids as babies, but if she doesn't get the original photos to me soon, it'll be too late; I've...

Really nice. Looks like you're having fun with your printer.

    3d Printer!!

I've been trying to teach myself Fusion360 by designing soap dishes (of course). It's frustrating but fun, and I've learned quite a bit.

    3d Printer!!

Cool! I haven't used supports yet, been trying to design around them.

    3d Printer!!

Yeah, they're fun. Hopefully this link takes you to a YouTube video that explains the process. Important things to remember is to change the image from a negative to a positive image, and to print the lithophane standing up. I add a brim in the slicer so the print sticks...

    3d Printer!!

I've been having fun with lithophane. Use this website: http://3dp.rocks/lithophane/ to convert a picture (black and white works best) into an stl file, and you can print this:

    3d Printer!!

Kittish - I can relate. I've always been fond of little bowls and boxes and there are so many cool ones that I just have to print. And then there's this https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2360999

    3d Printer!!

I also have a fairly new 3d printer. Kchaystack posted about his printer a few months ago and I was persuaded. It's a ton of fun. I've printed a bunch of stuff from thingiverse and my mini factory, and I'm trying to learn Fusion 360 so I can design my own things.

    Issues with Silicone Molds

I'm with BrewerGeorge on this. If I wait long enough (24 hours mostly) I can break the seal and unmold with no missing corners. That being said, I am often impatient and suffer the consequences.

Oh this forum is SO bad.....

I sure wish you hadn't posted this. I spent all yesterday looking at YouTube videos, looking up stuff on thingverse and measuring desk space to see if the printer would fit (it would). Today I downloaded a beginner's book to my Kindle so I can get a handle on terminology. I don't know if I can...

    Fiddle Diddle...

Just before I retired an older gentleman told me that when retired, every day is Wednesday. Made no sense to me until after I retired. When I was working, Wednesday meant that I had a couple more days to get things done. Now there's always a couple more days. So far it's working great for me.

Looking for a couple of things..

I have the bowl pictured in the OP's post and like it a lot. It does have a flat bottom, and it's non-existent skid - for my two lb. batches it works fine.

    Flax/Linseed Oil Source?

I've done flaxseed oil seasoning on a couple of skillets and an old cornstick pan, and haven't had any flaking issues. I think the secret is very thin coats - wipe some oil on then use a cloth to wipe as much off as you can - and to keep the oven temps between 450 and 500. Put the oiled pan into...

Disabled Children and some of the trials they have to bear

I worked for Human Services in a small California county for a number of years. One of the agencies that make up Human Services is the Public Guardian. They handle the finances of people who cannot because of mental or physical disability, and who have no one else who can help them. The Public...

    Mechanic Soap

I made a batch using Bamagal's recipe, but substituted turpentine for kerosene. My mechanic friend reports that it works well.

Cherry Coke, the green is golden green mica from Steph's Mica's and more.

    HP soap.... why?

That's funny, I did the same thing with much the same result. I use lard in my soap, and heating it in the Crock-Pot, even on low, made the whole house smell piggy. When I make CP soap, I melt it slowly so it doesn't smell as much.
