    Update on my hands

I definitely second going to a doctor. I suffer from eczema and allergic reactions to things as well. My eczema is only on my hands, but it's horrible. I can't eat anything with wheat in it, and wheat is hidden in so many things. Other times of the year, I might get hives or allergic rashes to...

    Hello from Australia

Hi, penelopejane, Don't worry :) I'd wrap the CP soap in plastic after the six weeks and then store it, as that will give me more room for other soaps to cure.

What EO would you put in a milk honey oat soap?

    Maybe clove, nutmeg, and lemongrass?

    Hello from Australia

Hi fuzz-juzz and thanks for the welcome! IrishLass, I wrote out a long reply and, sadly, it got eaten :( . . . but my batch size depends on what I've planned. I figure out calculations, scents, sketches etc in my soap diary the night before. Normally, I make around 10 - 27 bars. I have a...

    Embeds all furry

Thanks, IrishLass. Great information, especially on the link. I put the MP base in the microwave, but I can't remember if I overheated it. The Q&A says boiling can cause the crystals. Does this mean that a MP drizzle on my cupcake soaps will get furry, too? If so, are there any tips on a CP...

    Embeds all furry

Thanks for that information, galaxyMLP. To clarify - If I wanted to use M & P embeds on top of a CP soap loaf, I'd have to wrap the embeds with cling film after putting them into the top of the soap, but leave the rest of the CP soap loaf bare to cure for 6 weeks? How do you wrap MP soap...

    Embeds all furry

The fragrance oil I used was Strawberry from Escentials of Australia. In CP, this fragrance accelerates like crazy. You have a five second pour time. It wouldn't surprise me if the problem was the fragrance oil. Yesterday, I got a shipment of two other strawberry fragrances to try, both from...

    Embeds all furry

Hi everyone, I'm new to soap making in general and would love some help. I've been having difficulties with M & P soap for a while. From what I've read on this forum, my problems stem from the climate I live in (Queensland, Australia) which is humid in spring and summer. It rains quite often...

    Hello from Australia

Hi fellow soapers, I'm from Australia, and I just started making soaps at the end of last year, so for about five or six months. I've been a bit of a lurker to this forum from about three months ago, reading all the handy hints to help make soaps great. I was extremely intimidated at first...
