I tried my first batch of Castile soap. using the soap calc for a 1lb batch .I used the ingredients exact. 80% was olive oil and 20% was coconut oil. The corners are a bit darker and its very crumbly like a cheesecake. It's been out of the mold since Sunday and its Wednesday.. Should I let it dry for several weeks to see what it will do ior do I need to ditch it ?

I made a friend a bar from a melt and pour glycerine soap base and she says it doesn't feel like there is any moisturizer In it at all.. It gives a very squeaky clean feeling. I thought glycerine was moisturizing.. Can I add anything to it to make it feel not so squeaky clean! Thanks!

I have a bit of a cinnamon allergy when it's topical, I heard it's actually common. I have a friend who wants me to make her soap with cinnamon in it and cinnamon oil... Do many people make cinnamon soap and do you use cinnamon powder or the oil? Do you see any skin irritation or is it fine...

Sorry It should say re-batch. I made a batch of soap but I don't like how I cut the soap and I went and bought some molds,, can I just remelt the soap and pour into the molds? If so, will I have to add more of the fragrance? Thanks!

I bought a sharper Image digital scale but I get it home and it does 1/8 ounce 1 gram weight increments... My dalema is what if the recipe calls for 2.6 ounce? Example.... It's showing me 2 1/4 ounces.... 2 1/2 2 7/8 etc....How would I know what is 2.6? Do I need to get another scale?

I watched a soap making video where the lady put in all the oils into the lye mixture after she mixed the lye and water.. She used the heat from the lye mixture to melt and heat the oils. Is this ok to do? Does it work that way? Thanks!
